How I Got Started As a Fashion Designer

Posted by Charlene Dunbar on

As annoying as this answer is, I started my brand by well, starting. I always had a passion for art and fashion, but I didn’t pursue it as a career because I was worried about financial stability.

My family moved to the US as Liberian refugees and I could just hear my parents say, “We didn’t dodge bullets and bring you to this country for you to be a starving artist.”

I worked in product development for a consumer products company after college and after a few years, went back to school for Fashion Design & Marketing. To hear the rest of my story, click below!
